Poke Sallet Idol auditions are opening up, and it's your time to shine! Join us on Tuesday, May 7th, and Thursday, May 9th, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Harlan Center located at 201 S. Main St, Harlan, KY.
Step into the spotlight and grab your chance to win big – a grand prize of $1,000 awaits the overall winner at the Poke Sallet Festival (May 30th-June 1st). Mark your calendars and warm up those vocal cords! This is your moment to become a star at the Poke Sallet Festival!

Run for the Hills 5K

Join the Harlan Rotary Club and Finish Vertical Crossfit at the Harlan County Courthouse as they host the Annual Run for the Hills 5k during the Poke Sallet Festival on Saturday at 8AM.
Registration & Fees:
Pre-Register $20.00 by May 24, 2024
Day of race $25.00 (No T-shirt Guarantee)
This will be a timed race and there will be trophies for age divisions. The start time will be 8 a.m.

Gather your furry friends and show off their talents at our beloved annual Pet Show.
🕙 Registration: Begins at 10:00 AM 🕚 Show Starts: 11:00 AM
Hosted by Harlan County Friends of the Shelter and Tri City Paws, this event promises plenty of tail-wagging fun and adorable moments.

Applications for the 2024 Miss Harlan County Scholarship Pageant are now available at Harlan High School and Harlan County High School! This pageant is open to senior girls who will graduate as part of the Class of 2024. Applications are due back to the Harlan Center by Monday April 8 at 5 p.m. There will be an informational meeting in the Gallery of the Harlan Center on Wednesday April 10 at 5 p.m. for any interested participants.
