Something BIG is coming to the Poke Sallet Festival stage!
For the 70th Annual Poke Sallet Festival, we’re turning up the volume and bringing back some of your FAVORITE voices from years past with Poke Sallet Idol: All-Stars - A battle of local idol LEGENDS!
Who knows which champions will be returning?! You'll have to stay tuned to find out!
We’ve reached out to as many of our past Poke Idol and Voice of Poke winners as we could, but there’s a chance we might’ve missed one or two along the way. If you’re a past champion and we haven’t reached out to you and want to jump in — shoot us a message! We’ll make sure you’re added to the Round 1 line-up!
Here’s how it’s going down:
Round 1: June 6th – Our All-Star contestants will each perform TWO songs, with the order randomized. The top 3 will move on to the Finals as determined by a panel of judges AND crowd participation.
Finals: June 7th – The top THREE performers face off! The winner to be determined by a panel of judges AND crowd participation! The top vocalist will take home a grand prize of $1000!
Exact times will be announced soon – so stay tuned!
You won’t want to miss this epic showdown of past champions on the Poke Sallet Festival stage! And don’t worry - Poke Sallet Idol in it’s traditional form will return next year!
Run for the Hills 5K
Saturday, June 7th, 2025

Hosted by Finish Vertical CrossFit and the Harlan Rotary Club
Lace up your running shoes and join us for the Run for the Hills 5K — one of the most energetic events at the Poke Sallet Festival! This timed race will take participants through the heart of downtown Harlan and offers a scenic, spirited route perfect for runners of all skill levels.

Support local seniors as they vie for the crown, scholarship money, and title of Miss Harlan County! The Miss Harlan County Scholarship Pageant will take place on Tuesday June 3, 2025 at Harlan Elementary School. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the Pageant begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children under 3.

Get ready to rev your engines and shine up those classics! The 14th Annual Sue Ford Memorial Car Show is rolling into Downtown Harlan during the Poke Sallet Festival on Saturday, June 7th, 2025.
This beloved event is a highlight of festival weekend, showcasing an incredible lineup of classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, trucks, and more. Whether you’re a car enthusiast, a collector, or just love seeing beautifully restored vehicles, this show is for you!
Proceeds from the car show will benefit the Harlan County Christian School, making this event not only fun but meaningful for our community.
